2020 - The Truth Emerges

When I was young I composed a poem called clarity.  One of the stanzas was:

Try as we might

To shed some light 

CLARITY

Forever

Remains

Out of sight

At the time - there was much happening in the world that I simply did not understand.  Why would people make the decisions they did about their life?  Why would people’s actions defy their true nature?  This clarity has evaded me for many, many years.  It has been something I have sought with fervour.  Why do people wear masks, hiding behind their true identity?  

Well, fast forward to 2020 - the year the skeletons start coming out of the closet.  Not only is the current situation jarring people to awaken to their true self, it is also beckoning clarity, which has evaded so many of us for so long.  Shocking clarity, I might add.  As we uncover the truth of who we are at our core, these skeletons have no choice but to be exposed to the light.  Trusting our gut and our instincts, has never mattered so much, for so many.

Suddenly, all those ideas that society has dictated to us, are of little importance.  How important are the roles we play every day, with our game face on?  The current crisis has confirmed the obvious: We are not going to be victims of our conditioning.  If we can’t be who we truly are, what is the purpose of this life that we lead?

Freeing ourselves from those limitations and constraints means taking risks and finding the courage to face ourselves.  It’s time to take stock.  What is no longer serving us in our lives?  What truth are we hiding from ourselves?  Seeing is believing.  Are you terrified that the truth is too painful, too overwhelming?  Take one step, be brave.  Aligning with the truth allows us to uncover our innate greatness. 

Take a look in the mirror.  Be real.  Be you.
